Today I am starting revision seven!! After rejection, and humbling this summer, I have checked out books, and taken a class online!! I am ready, ready to write!! A part of me deep inside feels invigorated and alive writing!! This book is what emotionally saved me last winter and spring. I am so excited to be re-writing it, and able to share it with you!!!
Can you hear it?
The Crazy Old Woman
@ Copyright 2011 Daylene Woodruff
"Whatever you did to me, undo it," I said.
"I don't know if you can hear enough," the crazy old woman said.
"I can. I can."
"Tell me what you've heard since yesterday."
"Neema, my younger sister, bossing me around," I said.
"Is that all?"
"Um..."
"You're still deaf," the old woman said.
"Wait. I heard a tune, in a dream, from a family in Tamose. They were invaded by Sanath. But it was only a dream."
"Are you sure it was only a dream?"
"I don't know. I..."
The old woman touched my forehead again. I jerked my body back. "Don't do anything to me again--just restore my vision."
"I don't know if you're ready. It'll be a different world for you when you see again."
"I am ready," I said.
